Nion Forge is being developed by two indie developers from Austria and Germany. What started as a small game jam project in 2023 has grown into a long-term passion project that continues to evolve to this day.
The original prototype was created for the itch.io game jam Two Dimensions . After the jam ended, we saw the potential in the idea and decided to continue working on it in our spare time. Since then, we have invested more than 4,000 hours into bringing Nion Forge to life.
We strive to create as much of the game ourselves as possible. Most of what you see in Nion Forge was created by us during thousands of hours of development, though a few assets were generously provided by friends, community members, and other talented creators.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been the incredible community that formed around Nion Forge. Along the way, we have met amazing people, received valuable feedback, and shared countless memorable moments.
